SAMHSA Data Released on Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Behavioral Health

SAMHSA [13-Jun] | Recently, SAMHSA released a new data report indicating that lesbian, gay, and bisexual adults are more likely than straight adults to use substances, experience mental health conditions including major depressive episodes, and experience serious thoughts of suicide. Since 2020, SAMHSA has funded a Center of Excellence for LGBTQ+ Behavioral Health Equity, designed to support the implementation of strategies within mental health and substance use disorder treatment systems to address disparities impacting the LGBTQ+ community.
