On Wednesday, June 3rd, TCA celebrated 50 Years of TCA, 50 Years of Service. During the reception, we honored Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) with the 2026 Charlie Devlin Award for Excellence for his leadership and enduring commitment to advancing behavioral health policy, expanding access to treatment, and supporting recovery for individuals, families, and communities. Representative Paul Tonko (D-NY) provided opening remarks and Paul Samuels of the Legal Action Center was our keynote speaker.

SUD provider agencies from across the U.S. gathered in Washington for TCA’s spring board meeting, which offered TCA and our members an opportunity to engage with lawmakers and staff on Capitol Hill to advocate and enhance awareness and support for residential addiction treatment services. Advocacy is a priority to TCA and we are committed to keeping our issues, and the value of treatment and recovery from addiction, top-of-mind for policymakers as a sound investment in the future of our communities.
