About Charlie Delvin
The Charlie Devlin Award for Excellence began in 2017 after the passing of our dear friend, board member and past president, Charlie Devlin. With more than 50 years in recovery, Charlie worked tirelessly on behalf of the millions whose lives had been impacted by addiction to alcohol and other drugs. His passing marked a tremendous loss for all of us in the recovery community; and he is missed more than words can express. TCA will memorialize the life and work of Charlie with an award named in his honor called the “Charlie Devlin Award for Excellence” which will be given each year to a legislator who has gone above and beyond and has shown exemplary work in the substance use disorder field.
