LAPPA releases new fact sheet on fentanyl test strips

The Legislative Analysis and Public Policy Association (LAPPA), a recipient of the Office of National Drug Control Policy’s (ONDCP) Model Acts grant, released a new fact sheet with information on fentanyl test strips. The release of the fact sheet coincides with a new policy to allow certain federal grantees funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) to purchase fentanyl test strips with certain federal grant dollars. The fact sheet describes the technology behind test strips, research on the impact of utilizing fentanyl on the behavior of people using drugs, legal issues and more.
