New Report Highlights Benefit of Housing, Recovery Support Services

Research shows that recovery housing contributes to improved outcomes for individuals who are recovering from addiction. Despite this, the current health care system gives little attention to recovery support services, like recovery housing, that help individuals manage and sustain long-term recovery. Earlier this year, the National Council for Mental Wellbeing recently hosted a technical expert panel (TEP) to explore ways to best demonstrate the value of recovery housing in the United States, from which several recommendations were made in a new report.
