On 16-March, TCA helped to co-organize a side event sponsored by the World Federation of Therapeutic Communities entitled, "Opportunities and Challenges within Therapeutic Communities to Serve Vulnerable Populations," which was held in conjunction with the 66th session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs in Vienna.
The event highlighted the Declaration of Mallorca, the main action undertaken in the areas of treatment, recovery, and social reintegration of drug-dependent people, and the WFTC World Social Report, which details the scope of therapeutic communities by country and region and provides information on TC resources in 26 countries, in which almost 600,000 people with addiction were cared for by WFTC providers.
Others co-organizing the event were WFTC members Proyecto Hombre and Dianova, and fellow federation members ATCA, FTCA. FLACT, and EFTC.
